About the LMRC
The Lower Merced River Coalition (LMRC) is dedicated to the sustainable management and protection of water resources along the lower Merced River. We coordinate with diverters, agencies, and other partners to ensure equitable and responsible water use.
The LMRC represents a voluntary group of water users dedicated to ensuring transparency and compliance in water right management along the Merced River below Exchequer Dam (lower Merced River). Our coalition brings together water users to uphold equitable water distribution and adherence to California water law.
The LMRC is committed to fostering collaboration, protecting water resources, and promoting responsible stewardship of the river. By working together, we aim to balance agricultural and environmental needs, while ensuring that all water rights along the lower Merced River remain protected.
